Help us, Brother Beck!

I think there are three categories of people when it comes to Talk Radio. You either LOVE it, HATE it, or IGNORE it. I generally love it. While I often have to turn it off because it gets a little too nasty or over-the-top, I always go back for more. Regardless of the stance that some hosts take, I have learned countless things about the world, politics and people.

My new favorite is Brother Beck. I never liked Glenn Beck's tv show until fairly recently. When I discovered where his radio show is on my XM radio, I began listening little by little. He is now my very favorite. I would say he is not as blatant nor "right wing" in his presentation than many others. I am pretty "right wing" myself, but I like his approach the best. His show is full of comedy, skits, bizzare comparisons and analogies that make sense. He and his staff are also incredibly funny! I drive along the beltway laughing out loud, all alone in my car! It's like listening to a clean version of a political Saturday Night Live, only much more thought-provoking and educational, too! For example. I knew nothing about Russia's issues with the country of Georgia and the energy problems that this may cause the entire world until I listened to his show last week. Do YOU know about that? Hm.... maybe it is time for a visit with Brother Beck.

  1. I've been a big fan of Beck for a couple of years now. He is not afraid to criticize both parties if they are being stupid. He's not your typical Republican cheerleader like Rush and Hannity.

  2. I agree, Cody. While I have learned a TON from Rush and Hannity, they make me angry sometimes. I really like Beck's strategies and critical thinking. You made a great point.

  3. I too used to love listen to Beck, he is much better on radio than TV, unfortunately they changed the shows time and he is no longer on in the mornings, when I am most likely in my car.

  4. I love Glenn Beck, I need to get my radio in my house fixed so I can listen to him more, or maybe I can convince Dave to subscribe to Cable. I agree his talk show is better. Welcome to the Beck Wagon.

  5. If you're a sick freak, please press 1. . .Thank you.
I am trying to make my way through the books he recommends. I think I have checked out or renewed the Forgotten Man about four times and still haven't gotten half way through it. How does he read so many heavy books, AND be riddled with ADD?
